Major responsibilities are creating automation, processing payment files and building scalable and robust Python applications running Linux servers.

Essential Functions:

Design, develop and implement highly scalable, high-volume data processing systems and components.
Design and develop applications using Python, Linux Bash scripts and SQL.
Research and evaluate software related technologies and products.
Implement best practices, standards and procedures including quality and delivery methodologies.
Perform code reviews and participate in defining & ensuring adherence to coding standards.
Provide development estimate on stories and tasks.




Support and maintain existing and recent applications.
Attend/Facilitate meetings with users regarding requirements when appropriate.
Unit test and troubleshoot as necessary.
Remain current on information technology and techniques.

Competencies/Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a technical discipline preferred.
3+ years of experience as a Python developer required.
Experience architecting, building, and launching software products and services.
Familiarity with Python unittest.
Agile and/or Kanban with JIRA required.
Skilled multitasker with excellent listening skills.
Self-motivated and can work with minimal direction.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Solid analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
