Senior Product Manager – Consumer Product, Growth & AI
Location: Noida / Delhi NCR
Experience: 6–10 years
Employment Type: Full-time
Environment: High-growth, startup-oriented
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who can operate at the intersection of product, growth, data, technology, design, and AI.
This is not a role focused only on writing PRDs and managing a roadmap. We are looking for someone who can understand user behaviour, identify funnel leakages, analyse cohorts, run experiments, work closely with engineering and design teams, and ultimately move business and product metrics.
The ideal candidate should have experience working in a startup or fast-paced consumer technology environment, where ownership is high, teams are lean, and decisions are driven by data and speed.
What You Will Own1. Product Strategy & Execution
- Own product initiatives from problem identification to launch and post-launch optimisation.
- Translate business objectives into clear product problems, hypotheses, requirements and measurable outcomes.
- Build and prioritise product roadmaps based on user impact, business impact and engineering effort.
- Write clear PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria and product specifications.
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical dependencies, APIs, backend systems and implementation trade-offs.
- Take ownership of product quality rather than treating release as the end of the product cycle.
2. Funnel & Conversion Management
Own and continuously optimise key consumer funnels such as:
Acquisition → Install → Registration → Activation → Engagement → Conversion → Retention → Monetisation
You should be comfortable:
- Identifying funnel drop-offs.
- Building hypotheses around user behaviour.
- Designing experiments to improve conversion.
- Measuring pre vs post-launch impact.
- Running A/B tests.
- Segmenting users based on behaviour.
- Working with growth and marketing teams on acquisition-to-retention journeys.
- Understanding the relationship between UX changes and business metrics.
3. Cohort, Retention & User Behaviour Analysis
The role requires a strong understanding of cohort-based product management.
You should be able to analyse:
- D0 / D1 / D7 / D30 retention
- Acquisition cohorts
- Activation cohorts
- Paying vs non-paying users
- Subscriber cohorts
- Content consumption cohorts
- New vs returning users
- High-value vs low-value users
- Churned and reactivated users
- Campaign and channel cohorts
You should be able to convert this data into actionable product decisions rather than simply reporting metrics.
4. Product Analytics & Growth Stack
Hands-on familiarity with tools such as:
- CleverTap
- AppsFlyer
- MoEngage
- Firebase / Firebase Analytics
- GA4
- MMP and attribution platforms
- Product analytics and experimentation tools
You should understand concepts including:
- Events and event taxonomy
- User properties
- Attribution
- Deep links and deferred deep links
- Push notification journeys
- Segmentation
- Lifecycle campaigns
- Conversion events
- Retention analysis
- Cohort analysis
- Funnel analysis
Working knowledge of SQL, BigQuery or similar analytics environments will be a strong advantage.
5. AI-First Product Thinking
We are looking for a Product Manager who is genuinely comfortable working with technology and AI.
You don't need to be an ML engineer, but you should understand:
- Generative AI and LLM fundamentals
- APIs and AI model integrations
- Prompt engineering
- AI-powered product experiences
- Model latency, cost and quality trade-offs
- AI automation and agentic workflows
- SaaS and API-based AI products
- How AI can improve internal product development workflows
You should actively use modern AI tools to improve your own productivity across research, analysis, prototyping, documentation and product development.
Ability to prototype or vibe-code basic product experiences using modern AI development tools will be considered a strong advantage.
6. Design & User Experience
Work closely with Product Designers and UI/UX teams to:
- Convert user problems into intuitive product experiences.
- Review user journeys, wireframes and prototypes.
- Challenge unnecessary complexity.
- Reduce friction across critical funnels.
- Ensure design decisions are connected to measurable user outcomes.
- Maintain consistency across the overall product experience.
You should have enough UX understanding to challenge a design constructively rather than simply passing requirements to designers.
7. Engineering & Technical Collaboration
You should be technically curious and comfortable discussing:
- Frontend vs backend architecture
- APIs
- Databases
- Authentication and user systems
- Payments and subscriptions
- Analytics instrumentation
- Event tracking
- App performance
- Release management
- Third-party integrations
- AI APIs and model integrations
You don't need to write production code, but you should be able to have meaningful conversations with engineers and understand the implications of technical decisions.
8. QA & Release Ownership
Product quality is a core responsibility of this role.
You will work closely with QA and engineering teams on:
- Acceptance criteria
- Test scenarios
- Edge cases
- Regression testing
- Release readiness
- Production monitoring
- Crash and performance issues
- Post-release validation
The expectation is simple: if you own the product, you also own the quality of the experience delivered to the user.
Key Metrics You Should Be Comfortable Owning
Depending on the product, these could include:
- DAU / WAU / MAU
- DAU/MAU ratio
- D1 / D7 / D30 retention
- Activation rate
- Funnel conversion
- Registration conversion
- Engagement frequency
- Session frequency
- Average session duration
- Content consumption
- Subscription conversion
- Trial-to-paid conversion
- Renewal rate
- Churn
- ARPU / ARPPU
- CAC
- LTV
- ROAS
- Crash-free users / sessions
- Product and app performance metrics
What We Are Looking For
- 6–10 years of Product Management experience, preferably in consumer technology.
- Experience working in a startup, scale-up or high-growth product environment.
- Strong understanding of consumer mobile applications and app ecosystems.
- Strong analytical ability and comfort working with funnels, cohorts and large datasets.
- Hands-on familiarity with CleverTap, AppsFlyer, MoEngage and Firebase.
- Experience working closely with engineering, design, QA, analytics, marketing and business teams.
- Robust understanding of experimentation and A/B testing.
- Ability to independently identify product problems rather than waiting for requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and iterating quickly.
Preferred Background
Candidates from the following categories would be particularly relevant:
- Consumer Internet
- OTT / Video / Entertainment
- Subscription products
- Gaming
- Social / Creator platforms
- FinTech consumer apps
- E-commerce / Quick Commerce
- Content platforms
- AI-first consumer products
Experience building or scaling a product through a 0→1 or 1→10 journey will be highly valued.
Startup Mindset We Value
We are looking for someone who naturally thinks:
What is the problem → What does the data tell us → What is the hypothesis → What is the fastest way to test it → What moved after launch
The right person should be comfortable with:
- High ownership and accountability.
- Ambiguity.
- Fast execution.
- Lean teams.
- Challenging assumptions.
- Talking directly to users.
- Digging into data independently.
- Working closely with engineers.
- Rapid experimentation.
- Occasionally doing work outside a traditional Product Manager job description.
We value builders over coordinators.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 6–12 months, this person should be able to:
- Independently own major product funnels.
- Establish clear cohort and retention visibility.
- Identify the largest product leakages and opportunities.
- Build a structured experimentation pipeline.
- Improve activation, engagement, conversion and retention metrics.
- Improve analytics instrumentation and product measurement.
- Introduce AI into relevant user experiences and internal product workflows.
- Create tighter operating rhythm between Product, Design, Engineering, QA, Analytics and Growth.
- Develop a strong understanding of both the user experience and underlying technology.
The Candidate We Want
We are looking for someone who is equally comfortable discussing:
User experience with a designer, APIs with an engineer, test cases with QA, cohorts with an analyst, attribution with a growth manager, and AI capabilities with an ML/AI team.
If your approach to Product Management is data-driven, technically curious, user-focused and execution-oriented, this role is designed for you.
