The property is committed to combining premium amenities with warm, personalized service to create memorable stays for both leisure and business travelers.Role DescriptionThe Director of Sales and Marketing is a full-time, on-site role based at Monsoon Empress in Kochi. This position oversees the hotel’s sales and marketing strategies, drives revenue growth, and strengthens the hotel’s market presence in both domestic and international segments. Daily responsibilities include leading the sales team, managing key accounts, developing corporate and travel trade partnerships, and identifying new business opportunities across rooms, F&B;, and banqueting. The role also involves planning and executing marketing campaigns, managing digital and offline brand visibility, monitoring market trends and competitor activity, and preparing sales forecasts and performance reports.



The Director collaborates closely with operations, revenue management, and senior leadership to ensure alignment of guest experience, pricing, and promotional initiatives with overall business objectives.QualificationsStrong Sales and Business Development skills, with proven experience driving revenue growth in the hospitality or hotel sector.Expertise in Sales Operations, including pipeline management, reporting, forecasting, and implementing effective sales processes.Demonstrated Customer Service focus, with the ability to build long-term client relationships and represent the hotel professionally.Proven Team Management capabilities, including leading, coaching, and engaging diverse sales and marketing teams.Experience in hotel marketing, including digital marketing, brand positioning, campaign planning, and partnership development.Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.Prior leadership experience in sales and marketing within a 4- or 5-star hotel setting in India or similar markets.Strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills, with proficiency in MS Office and hotel sales/CRM systems.Ability to work on-site in Kochi, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
