Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Chartered Accountant (qualified or semiqualified) to lead finance operations, ensure accounting accuracy, support tax research and compliance, manage client relationships, and champion AI-enabled tools across the firm. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting/tax skills with team leadership, client-facing experience, and practical knowledge of AI tools for finance.

Key Responsibilities

- Team performance and people managementn
- Lead, coach, and evaluate a team of accountants/AEs; set performance goals and conduct periodic reviews.n
- Allocate resources, monitor workloads, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.n
- Manage leave approvals, attendance tracking, and escalate staffing issues.n
- Accounting review and controlsn
- Review books of account, ledgers, reconciliations, and monthend / quarterend / yearend closing activities.n
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.n
- Identify and recommend process improvements and internal control enhancements.n
- Taxation research and compliancen
- Research complex tax issues, interpret statutes, circulars, and case law; provide actionable guidance to the team and clients.n
- Oversee tax computations, filings, and timelines; coordinate with external tax advisors where required.n
- Client relationship managementn
- Act as primary contact for assigned clients; build and maintain trust through timely communication and high-quality deliverables.n
- Understand clients business needs, recommend value-added services, and manage client expectations.n
- Partner representationn




- Represent partners on matters of finance, compliance, and client engagements when required.n
- Prepare briefs and status updates for partners and participate in partner-client discussions.n
- AI adoption and oversightn
- Possess requisite knowledge of AI tools applicable to accounting, tax research, document automation, and analytics.n
- Lead evaluation, pilot, and implementation efforts for AI tools; ensure proper governance, data privacy, and accuracy checks.n
- Train team members on effective and responsible use of AI tools.n
- Reporting and documentationn
- Prepare and present periodic financial and operational reports to partners and stakeholders.n
- Maintain documentation of policies, procedures, tax positions, and research outputs.}n

Qualifications & Skills

n

- n
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or semiqualified CA (CA Inter) with strong practical experience.n
- 3–8 years of relevant experience (adjustable based on role level).n
- Hands-on experience in accounting, taxation, and client servicing.n
- Demonstrated team management or supervisory experience.n
- Practical understanding of Indian tax laws, GST, corporate taxation; knowledge of international tax is a plus.n
- Working knowledge of accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP, or similar).n
- Familiarity with AI/ML tools for finance (e.g., document AI, LLMs for tax research) and comfort evaluating/implementing them.n
- Robust analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills.n
- Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing skills.n
- High degree of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.n
- Proficient in English; local language skills are an advantage.n
