Job responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and on-time end-to-end payroll processing for the APAC region, partnering closely with regional payroll teams, HR, Finance, and vendors
- Own and maintain standard operating procedures, knowledge repositories, and process documentation
- Prepare and manage operational metrics and dashboards for internal teams and external vendors, highlighting performance, risks, and opportunities
- Identify, prioritize, and implement automation and process improvements;
collaborate with technology and vendor partners to design scalable solutions
- Lead and support change initiatives;
collaborate effectivelyin a team environment while influencing stakeholders to adopt best practices
Required skills
- Bachelor’s degree with 6–8 years of operations experience across Payroll/Benefits/Taxation, including hands-on exposure to automation/robotics and business process analysis with a proven record of delivering process improvements and automation projects
- Experience with multinational payroll operations and accounting;
extensive knowledge of SAP Payroll or other payroll ERPs (e.G., Workday, Oracle HCM);
familiarity with project management practices
- Proven ability to map and analyze current-state and design future-state processes;
experience with processimprovement methodologies and people/process management
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.G., advanced formulas, pivot tables;
macros/VBA preferred)
- Ability to validate and govern automated workflows, rule engines, data quality controls, and exception handling mechanisms
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across HR, Finance, Technology, and external vendors
- High attention to detail;
analytical mindset withthe ability to probe business rules and reconcile variances
- Creative problem-solver who proposes innovative, logical solutions
- Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coach, train, and support team members
Preferred skills
- Strong organizational and/or project management capabilities (certifications a plus).
- Technical proficiency with SAP and HCM systems;
experience integrating payroll with HRIS, time & attendance, and general ledger systems
- Familiarity with control frameworks (e.G., SOX/ICFR), audit readiness, and documentation standards
