Role Description The Junior Accountant will handle day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable. Responsibilities include preparing basic financial reports, supporting bank reconciliations, helping with invoice processing, and ensuring accurate documentation of expenses and revenues.



The role also involves assisting senior accounting staff with month-end and year-end closing activities, maintaining compliance with internal controls, and supporting audits with organized records. This is a full time, on-site role based in Kolkata, requiring regular collaboration with finance and operations teams to support smooth business op

erations.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in basic accounting principles, including ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel (spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis tools).
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications or coursework in accounting are an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Kolkata and maintain professional conduct in a fast-paced industrial business environment.
- Prior internship or junior-level experience in accounting or finance is preferred but not mandatory.
