POSITION DETAILS

Position Summary

The Supply Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading supplier quality strategies across Industrial supply chain operations. This role ensures that suppliers consistently meet quality, regulatory, and delivery requirements while driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supply base.

The position works closely with Strategic Sourcing, Supply chain, Engineering, Manufacturing and suppliers globally to achieve world-class quality performance.

Principal Activities

- Develop and execute global supplier quality strategies and standards, optimize processes and methods
- Lead supplier onboarding process and support approvals together with sourcing and supply chain team by driving supplier qualification, assessment, and audit processes.
- Driving Sample development process, APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, PFMEA, FAI and quality documentation per business unit requirements globally.
- Monitor supplier quality performance through KPIs and scorecards, publish scorecards to suppliers.
- Drive supplier corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality and performance issues.
- Manage supplier containment activities and escalation processes for critical issues.
- Ensure supplier compliance with company quality requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead supplier development programs focused on defect reduction and process improvement.
- Implement preventive quality initiatives to improve supplier capability and process stability to achieve green channel supplies.
- Lead global quality reviews with executive leadership and key suppliers.
- Collaborate with Site Supply chain and quality team, Mentor regional supplier quality teams and establish best practices.




- Maintain supply chain Dashboard and present quality, delivery performance and metrics update to management.
- Identify trends and implement proactive risk mitigation strategies together with sourcing and supply chain.
- Support Current Product launch, Supplier transitions & Engineering change management processes
- Train suppliers on best practices, various key training modules like problem solving and traceability etc
- Establish a strong network and foster collaboration with suppliers, key stakeholders, customers, sites and category team members
- Key metrics: Supplier Performance Quality – DPPM, Supplier Ontime delivery, Supplier Selection, Corrective Action closures, Sample development first article approvals, and risk management

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

- Good at Material standards, QMS requirements, various standards like PED etc.,
- 2D, 3D Inspection Skills and Non-destructive testing L-2 certification
- Exposure on commodities – Castings, Forging, Bar stock, Machining, Fabrications, Welding and etc.,
- Good communication skills with ability to manage suppliers, Circor sites and leadership globally
- Strategic thinking and good at data management and analytics
- Strong Problem-solving skills, Six Sigma Black belt certification (preferred) and continuous improvement mindset
- Good project management skill to manage and support strategic initiative and projects
- Supplier Relationship Management and strong networking skills
- Good at multi-task management and able to handle multiple projects in parallel
- Manage global cross functional and cross-cultural teams, leadership skills.
- Strong Negotiation & Influencing Skills

Education & Experience

Bachelor in Engineering (BE) – Mechanical / Production / Industrial / Electrical with (12 to 16 yrs for BE) / Diploma - 18 to 20 yrs for Diploma) experience in Supplier Quality, Continuous Improvement and Strategic sourcing function. Six Sigma / Lean – Certifications / QMS lead auditor certification will be an advantage.
