Glenburn Hospitality and associated brands

Kolkata

Glenburn is looking for an exceptionally organised, creative and resourceful individual to work closely with our leadership across our hospitality, tea, lifestyle and charitable initiatives.

This is not a traditional Personal Assistant position. We are looking for someone who combines the organisational skills of an excellent Executive Assistant with a strong visual eye, confident writing skills and the ability to turn ideas into beautifully executed projects.

The role will work across the Glenburn brands, including Glenburn Tea Estate, Glenburn Penthouse, Glenburn Cafe and Glenburn Tea, as well as supporting charitable and community initiatives.

It would suit someone who enjoys variety, is naturally organised, has good design instincts and takes genuine satisfaction in making things happen.

The Role

You will work closely with the principal to help organise information, communications, projects and priorities across a wide range of activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

Executive & Personal Assistance

- Organising information, documents, photographs, contacts and digital files so they are easy to retrieve and use.
- Helping manage projects, deadlines, follow-ups and day-to-day priorities.
- Preparing presentations, proposals, itineraries, briefing documents and correspondence.
- Researching suppliers, partners, events, travel, products and other requirements as needed.
- Keeping track of multiple ongoing projects and ensuring that details do not fall through the cracks.

Brand, Content & Communications

- Creating and formatting newsletters for Glenburn and related projects.
- Assisting with social media content, invitations, menus, brochures, presentations and marketing collateral.
- Working with photographs, copy and existing brand material to create polished communications.
- Maintaining consistency of tone and visual identity across the different Glenburn brands.

- Helping organise our image library, archives and marketing assets.
- Coordinating with photographers, designers, printers, agencies and other creative partners when required.

Graphic Design

Solid graphic design skills are an important part of this role.

You should be comfortable creating attractive, sophisticated material for both digital and print use, including:

- Newsletters
- Invitations
- Menus
- Posters and event collateral
- Presentations and proposals
- Social media graphics
- Simple brochures and marketing material

Experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite or similar design platforms would be particularly useful. A good understanding of typography, layout and image selection is more important to us than elaborate graphic effects.

The Glenburn Estate Foundation

You will also help coordinate our charitable and community initiatives, including:

- Maintaining information on current donors and partners.
- Correspondence and follow-up with current and potential donors.
- Keeping records of donations, projects and activities.
- Helping organise fundraising events and community programmes.
- Preparing presentations, communications and reports relating to our charitable work.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

- Extremely organised and detail-oriented.
- Visually creative with a strong sense of design.
- A confident writer with excellent English.
- Comfortable handling many different projects simultaneously.
- Digitally confident and quick to learn new platforms and tools.

- Proactive rather than waiting to be told every next step.
- Discreet and trustworthy when handling personal and business information.
- Comfortable working directly with senior leadership.
- Calm, practical and resourceful when plans change.
- Interested in hospitality, travel, food, culture, design and social impact.

The ability to use AI tools intelligently for research, organisation, writing and creative work would be a significant advantage.

Experience

We are open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds.

You might currently be working in:

- Executive assistance
- Brand or marketing coordination
- Hospitality
- Publishing or editorial
- Graphic design
- Communications
- Events
- A creative agency
- A family office or entrepreneurial business

Approximately 3–7 years of relevant professional experience would be ideal, although attitude, judgement and ability are more important than a particular career path.

The Person

This role will suit someone who likes being at the centre of things.

On one day you might be designing a Glenburn newsletter or invitation; on another, researching a new project, organising photographs and documents, coordinating a charity initiative or preparing material for an event.

We are a relatively small, entrepreneurial organisation, so roles are fluid and ideas move quickly. We value people who notice what needs doing, enjoy solving problems and care about the quality of the finished product.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who can become a trusted, capable and creative right hand.

To Apply

Please send us:

- Your CV
- A short note telling us why this role interests you
- Examples of creative or design work you have produced, where relevant
- Your current location and notice period

Portfolio samples are strongly encouraged.
