Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and technically skilled Manufacturing Chemist to manage and monitor day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensuring that products are manufactured according to approved formulations, SOPs, quality standards, and production plans. The candidate will coordinate with Production, QA, QC, R&D;, Stores, and Maintenance to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Manufacturing & Batch Processing
- Execute manufacturing activities as per approved BMR, formulation, SOPs, and production schedule.
- Ensure correct quantities of Raw Materials are dispensed and added as per the approved formula.
- Monitor manufacturing processes and ensure proper sequence of material addition, mixing, heating, cooling, and homogenization.
- Process & Parameter Monitoring
- Monitor critical process parameters such as temperature, mixing time, RPM, pH, viscosity, and batch quantity as applicable.
- Ensure process parameters are maintained within approved limits.
- Immediately report any abnormality or process deviation to the Production/QA Manager.
- Raw Material & Batch Verification
- Verify Raw Material names, codes, batch numbers, quantities, and status before starting manufacturing.
- Ensure only approved/passed materials are used for production.
- Coordinate with Stores and QC for material availability and status.
- BMR & Manufacturing Documentation
- Complete and maintain Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) accurately and on time.
- Record material usage, process parameters, equipment details, yields, and observations.
- Ensure all manufacturing documentation is completed as per GMP and SOP requirements.
- Quality & GMP Compliance
- Follow GMP, hygiene, safety,



and company SOPs during all manufacturing activities.
- Coordinate with QC/QA for in-process testing and batch release requirements.
- Ensure manufacturing areas and equipment are maintained in proper hygienic condition.
- Yield & Process Control
- Monitor batch yield and material consumption.
- Investigate abnormal yield variation, material loss, or process deviations.
- Support RCA and CAPA for recurring manufacturing issues.
- Equipment & Production Coordination
- Ensure manufacturing equipment such as manufacturing vessels, agitators, homogenizers, pumps, and transfer lines are ready before batch processing.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for equipment breakdowns and preventive maintenance requirements.
- Ensure proper cleaning and line clearance before and after manufacturing activities.
- Team Coordination & Training
- Guide and supervise operators/helpers involved in manufacturing activities.
- Provide training regarding manufacturing procedures, SOPs, GMP, safety, and material handling.
- Coordinate with QA, QC, R&D;, Stores, Maintenance, and PPIC for smooth batch execution.
- Production Reporting & Improvement
- Prepare daily manufacturing reports and update production status to the reporting manager.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, batch yield, process efficiency, and material utilization.
- Support Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

- B.Sc. / M.Sc. Chemistry or relevant qualification.
- 1–3 years of experience in Manufacturing/Production, preferably in Cosmetics, Personal Care, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, or Chemical manufacturing.
- Knowledge of GMP, BMR, SOPs, batch manufacturing, and process parameters.
- Good understanding of cosmetic manufacturing processes such as creams, lotions, shampoos, gels, liquid products, etc.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and documentation.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and team coordination skills.
- Willingness to work on the manufacturing shop floor and in shifts, if required.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
