- Job Description: QC Engineer / Quality Control Engineer

We are looking for a QC Engineer for road construction projects in hilly terrain. The candidate will be responsible for quality control, site testing, material inspection, documentation, and coordination with execution teams for highway, structure, drainage, and protection works.

The candidate should have good knowledge of road construction materials, field testing, laboratory testing, concrete works, pavement layers, and quality documentation as per project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and control quality of highway and structural works at site.
- Conduct and supervise quality tests for soil, aggregates, GSB, WMM, bitumen, concrete, cement, steel, and other construction materials.
- Check quality of subgrade, GSB, WMM, DBM, BC, drains, retaining walls, culverts, minor bridges, and RCC works.
- Carry out field density tests, moisture content tests, gradation tests, compaction checks, slump tests, cube casting, cube testing, core cutting, and other required tests.
- Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, MORTH specifications, IS codes, technical specifications, and approved methodology.
- Inspect incoming materials and verify test certificates, challans, source approvals, and quality compliance.
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, lab technicians, consultants, and client representatives for inspections and approvals.
- Prepare and maintain quality records, test reports, pour cards, inspection requests, cube registers, calibration records, and material registers.
- Monitor batching,



mixing, placing, compaction, curing, and workmanship quality.
- Identify non-conforming work/materials and report corrective actions to the Project Manager or QA/QC Head.
- Support trial mixes, job mix formula, mix design activities, and source approvals.
- Ensure proper quality checks in difficult hilly terrain conditions, including drainage flow, slope protection, concrete placement, and compaction in restricted spaces.
- Maintain calibration status of lab equipment and field testing instruments.

Required Qualification & Experience

- Diploma or B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Experience in road, highway, bridge, or infrastructure quality control preferred.
- Knowledge of MORTH specifications, IS codes, and standard testing procedures.
- Experience in hill road projects will be an added advantage.
- Ability to maintain proper documentation and coordinate inspections independently.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
