Marketing Communications Associate (MarCom)

Job Summary

Mumbai BioCluster is looking for a Marketing Communications Associate (MarCom) to support our marketing, digital communication, industry outreach, and brand visibility initiatives across the biotechnology and biopharma ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and content skills, an understanding of digital and social media, and an interest in the biotechnology, biopharma, and life sciences industry.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Content

- Manage social media platforms and support digital marketing campaigns.
- Develop engaging social media posts, campaign content, newsletters, and promotional communications.
- Track social media analytics, engagement, and audience growth.
- Coordinate with the Science Communication team on content development.

Market Research & Industry Intelligence

- Conduct research on biotechnology, biopharma, and life sciences markets and emerging trends.
- Identify potential companies, stakeholders, sponsors, speakers, partners, and industry opportunities.
- Prepare market research reports, industry databases, and strategic insights.

Media & Corporate Communications

- Support relationships with media houses, industry publications, and relevant communication platforms.
- Coordinate press releases, media communications, and coverage.
- Maintain and update media and stakeholder databases.
- Support development of event webpages, brochures, presentations, and promotional collateral.

Global Conference & Event Intelligence

- Track relevant national and international biotechnology, biopharma, and life sciences conferences.
- Research sponsorship, participation, partnership, and networking opportunities.
- Support pre-event and post-event marketing and communication activities.





Cross-Functional Support

- Support marketing, CRM, corporate relationship, and business development initiatives.
- Coordinate with the IT team on website updates and digital campaigns.
- Support marketing and communication activities for events, sponsors, partners, and attendees.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure timely execution of communication activities.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a candidate who has:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong content creation and social media understanding.
- Valuable knowledge of digital marketing and communication.
- Interest in the biotechnology, biopharma, pharmaceutical, or life sciences sector.
- Strong market research and analytical skills.
- A creative, proactive, and detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively across teams.

Education & Experience

- Preferred educational background: Biotechnology, Biopharma, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Marketing Communications, Digital Marketing, Social Media, Content, Market Research, Business Development, or a related field.
- Candidates with experience in the biotech/biopharma/life sciences ecosystem will be preferred.
