We are seeking an experienced L2/L3 Network & Server Engineer to manage, optimize, and secure our enterprise IT infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining high availability across Windows Server environments, core switching/routing architecture, and perimeter firewall security. You will serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues, drive infrastructure upgrades, enforce security protocols, and ensure seamless cross-site connectivity.Key Responsibilities1. Server & Systems Administration (Windows Server)•Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise Windows Server instances (2016/2019/2022) in physical, virtual, and hybrid environments.•Manage Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), Group Policy Objects (GPO), DNS, DHCP, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).•Administer virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi/vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V) including cluster management, resource allocation, and live migrations.•Manage enterprise backup, disaster recovery (DR) planning, and routine restoration testing (e.g., Veeam, Commvault).•Oversee patch management (WSUS/SCCM/MECM), server hardening, and OS lifecycle upgrades.2. Network Operations & Infrastructure (Switches & Routers)•Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot layer 2 and layer 3 enterprise switches (Cisco, HP/Aruba, Dell, or Juniper).•Manage network topologies: VLAN segmentation, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), LACP link aggregation, and inter-VLAN routing.•Configure energetic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) across multi-site networks and WAN links.•Monitor network performance, latency, bandwidth usage, and packet flow using SNMP and network analysis tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG).3. Network Security & Firewalls•Deploy, maintain, and manage next-generation firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Sophos, or Cisco ASA/Firepower).•Configure and maintain site-to-site IPsec VPN tunnels, SSL VPN client access, and NAT rules.•Implement and enforce firewall security policies,



Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), and Content Filtering.•Perform routine security auditing, vulnerability remediations, and log monitoring (SIEM integration).4. L2/L3 Technical Support & Incident Escalation•Act as the senior escalation point for complex infrastructure outages, root cause analyses (RCA), and high-priority (Sev-1/Sev-2) incidents.•Perform detailed network packet capture analyses and server performance tuning.•Maintain clear technical documentation, network diagrams (Visio/Draw.io), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and asset inventories.Required Qualifications & Experience•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.•Experience: 4 to 8+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering and system administration in an L2/L3 capacity.Technical Skill Set:•Operating Systems: Advanced expertise in Windows Server (2012 R2 through 2022), Active Directory, GPO, PowerShell scripting.•Networking: In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, Subnetting, STP, BGP/OSPF, VRRP, LACP, and QoS.•Hardware: Cisco Catalyst/Nexus, HP Aruba, or Dell switches; Dell PowerEdge or HP ProLiant rack servers.•Security: Hands-on administration of FortiGate, Palo Alto, or Sophos NGFWs; IPsec/SSL-VPN; RADIUS/TACACS+.•Virtualization: VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, or Microsoft Hyper-V.Preferred Certifications (Any of the following is a strong plus)•Networking: Cisco CCNA / CCNP Enterprise•Security: Fortinet NSE 4/5/6, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, or CompTIA Security+•Servers & Cloud: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, VMware VCP-DCVSoft Skills & Operational Requirements•Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills under pressure.•Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration.•Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and perform scheduled off-hours maintenance work.
