JOB DESCRIPTION – HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER

Position: Housekeeping Manager
Department: Housekeeping
Location: VGP Heritage Resort

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise the complete housekeeping operations of the resort.
- Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, staff areas, and surroundings are clean and well maintained.
- Prepare daily housekeeping schedules, staff duties, and shift rosters.
- Monitor cleanliness standards and conduct regular inspections.
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance of housekeeping equipment, chemicals, linen, and other materials.
- Maintain adequate stock of housekeeping supplies and coordinate with the Purchase/Stores team for requirements.
- Train, guide, and supervise housekeeping staff to maintain service standards and discipline.
- Coordinate with Front Office, Maintenance, Security, and other departments for smooth operations.
- Handle guest complaints related to cleanliness and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain housekeeping records, checklists, attendance, and inventory.




- Ensure proper hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards are followed.
- Monitor staff accommodation/quarters cleanliness as assigned by management.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, shortages, and operational concerns to management.
- Ensure staff follow grooming, uniform, attendance, and workplace discipline standards.

Skills & Requirements:

- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel/resort housekeeping.
- Good leadership and team-management skills.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, linen, and housekeeping equipment.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a large team.
- Basic computer knowledge and housekeeping documentation skills.
