Job Title: Facade Steel Fixer / Bar Bender (Sariya Cutting & Binding Specialist)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit Facade Steel Fixer / Bar Bender to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will specialize in handling structural steel reinforcement (sariya), including precise measuring, cutting, bending, and binding/tying for building facades, cladding support structures, curtain wall framing, and reinforced concrete architectural features.

Key Responsibilities

- Material Preparation: Read and interpret structural drawings, blueprints, and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) specifically tailored to facade sub-structures and embedded elements.
- Sariya Cutting: Operate manual and electric rebar cutters, chop saws, or shearing machines to cut steel bars (sariya) to exact specifications.
- Bending & Shaping: Shape steel bars into hooks, stirrups, rings, or custom angles required for facade anchoring and structural support using mechanical benders or manual bending keys.
- Steel Binding (Tying): Align, position, and securely bind steel reinforcement bars using binding wire and pliers/tiers to build sturdy cages and reinforcement grids for facade frames.
- Facade Integration:



Work closely with facade installers and structural engineers to ensure embedded steel elements, inserts, and anchors are aligned precisely with tolerances required for exterior glazing and cladding.
- Site Safety & Maintenance: Maintain tools and machinery (cutters and benders), explicit out scrap material to minimize waste, and strictly adhere to site safety regulations (wearing PPE, working safely at heights or on scaffolding).

Key Requirements

- Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years of proven experience as a bar bender, steel fixer, or sariya worker, preferably with specialized experience in high-rise building facades or structural glazing back-frames.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading layout measurements, understanding BBS (Bar Bending Schedules), and operating rebar processing machinery.
- Physical Stamina: High level of physical fitness and strength to lift heavy steel bars, work long hours outdoors, and operate in demanding construction site environments.
- Safety Awareness: Strong knowledge of construction site safety procedures and hazard mitigation.

Pay: ₹9,353.53 - ₹46,420.12 per month
