We are looking for a qualified and experienced Senior QC Chemist to join our Quality Control team. The ideal candidate should have 5–6 years of relevant experience in Quality Control, preferably in the Specialty Chemical or Pharmaceutical industry, with strong knowledge of chemical analysis and laboratory practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the QC In-Charge in managing day-to-day QC laboratory activities.
- Perform and review analysis of raw materials, intermediates, finished products and in-process samples.
- Handle analytical instruments and ensure proper operation and calibration.
- Review analytical results, test reports and laboratory documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, SOPs and applicable quality standards.
- Prepare and review COA, specifications, test methods and analytical reports.
- Investigate OOS/OOT results and support root-cause analysis and CAPA.
- Maintain proper laboratory records, logbooks and documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, QA, R&D; and other departments for quality-related matters.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, safety and good laboratory practices within the QC laboratory.
- Assist in training and guiding junior QC personnel.
- Support method validation/verification, stability studies and other QC-related activities as required.
Candidate Profile
- M.Sc. in Chemistry is preferred.
- 5–6 years of relevant QC experience.
- Candidates with experience in Specialty Chemicals or Pharmaceutical manufacturing will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of chemical analysis, wet analysis and instrumental analysis.
- Familiarity with HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR and other analytical instruments will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of GMP/GLP, SOPs and QC documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with a team.
