Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Business Head – Data Centre EPC to establish and scale a Data Centre EPC, Design-Build and EPCM business vertical in India.

The role will be responsible for business development, client acquisition, prequalification, bidding, commercial closure, strategic partnerships and team building. This is a business-building leadership position requiring strong relationships across the data centre and critical infrastructure ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute the Data Centre EPC business strategy, target segments and annual order-book targets.
- Identify and develop opportunities with data centre developers, hyperscalers, operators, cloud companies, BFSI, government and technology companies.
- Build strong relationships with senior decision-makers, consultants, PMCs and procurement teams.
- Lead contractor registrations, prequalifications, RFQs, RFPs and negotiated opportunities.
- Build and maintain a qualified project pipeline with clear values, timelines and win probabilities.
- Lead go/no-go decisions, bid strategy and commercial negotiations.
- Coordinate with technical, estimation, procurement, finance, legal, planning and execution teams during bidding.
- Develop strategic partnerships, consortiums and JVs with specialist design, MEP, cooling, testing and commissioning partners.
- Build relationships with key OEMs across UPS, DG, switchgear, cooling, BMS, DCIM, fire protection and modular systems.




- Lead contract negotiations and evaluate commercial risks including cash flow, working capital, payment terms, bank guarantees, LDs and design liabilities.
- Build and lead the Data Centre EPC team across business development, engineering, estimation, procurement, planning and commissioning.
- Ensure smooth handover and mobilisation of awarded projects and maintain senior-level client relationships throughout execution.
- Build credible and independently verifiable Data Centre EPC credentials for the organisation.

Candidate Profile

- B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 18–25 years of overall experience in EPC, buildings, industrial projects, advanced technology facilities or mission-critical infrastructure.
- Minimum 7–10+ years in senior business development, commercial, preconstruction or business leadership roles.
- Proven track record in securing large EPC, Design-Build or EPCM contracts.
- Strong experience in Data Centre EPC / Design-Build / EPCM business development.
- Solid network with developers, hyperscalers, data centre operators, consultants, OEMs and PMCs.
- Experience in client acquisition, prequalification, tendering, commercial closure and strategic partnerships.
- Prior experience in Data Centres, Semiconductors, Advanced Manufacturing or Critical Infrastructure will be strongly preferred.
- Experience in consortium formation,



technical partnerships and complex prequalification will be an advantage.
- MBA / postgraduate qualification in Construction or Project Management is preferred.

- Tier III / Tier IV Data Centres
- IT Load & Facility Capacity (MW)
- N+1, 2N & 2N+1 redundancy
- HT/LT systems, transformers, DG, UPS & batteries
- Chilled-water and high-density cooling
- Liquid cooling systems
- BMS, EPMS & DCIM
- Fire detection & suppression
- FAT/SAT & Integrated Systems Testing
- PUE & energy efficiency
- Data Centre commissioning & certification
- Long-lead equipment procurement

Candidates need not personally design every system but must be capable of leading technical and commercial discussions with clients, consultants, OEMs and partners.
