Description

This is a high-visibility role within SmartStream’s Professional Services organization, focused on delivering premium client engagements across our Reconciliation and Post-Trade platforms.

You will lead the design, configuration, and delivery of complex client solutions, working directly with senior stakeholders. The role demands strong domain expertise, hands-on product capability, and the ability to drive outcomes across multiple concurrent engagements.

This position involves global client interaction and may require travel or extended periods on-site, depending on project needs.

Job Responsibilities

- Lead solution design, configuration, and implementation using SmartStream products

- Act as primary client contact, driving workshops, solution discussions, and key decisions

- Translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality solutions

- Own delivery outcomes, including timelines, risks, and scope management

- Troubleshoot environments, data issues, and operational challenges

- Ensure alignment with design standards and maintain clear project documentation

- Track effort, report status, and manage changes through formal governance

Key Skills

- Hands-on experience in SmartStream products (TLM, Corporate Actions, Aurora, Collateral, Cash)

- Strong knowledge of reconciliations,



post-trade processing, and exception management

- Technical skills: SQL, RDBMS (Oracle/SQL Server), Java, UNIX/Linux

- Exposure to integration technologies (Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) preferred

- Solid understanding of financial messaging (SWIFT, ISO 15022/20022)

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and client communication skills

- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting

Desirable Skills

- Experience with financial institutions (broker-dealers, custodians, asset managers)

- Knowledge of payments, settlements, FX, and reference data processes

- Experience with workflow/reconciliation platforms and process optimization

- Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications

Experience in Smartstream product configuration, customisation, installation, and/or business processing knowledge

Experience

- 6–10+ years in Professional Services, consulting, or product implementation

- Proven experience in SmartStream configuration, customization, or related business processes
