Job Purpose:
Responsible for performing internal audit activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, mitigate organizational risks, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. The role includes planning, executing, and monitoring internal audits and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to business policies, industry regulations, and statutory requirements.
Key Accountabilities:1. Functional Audit Activities
- Conduct internal audits across business units to ensure compliance with policies, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Collaborate with external consultants to complete internal audits across all locations in a timely manner.
- Develop and test internal control mechanisms to assess compliance and proactively identify potential risks.
- Conduct fieldwork, gather evidence, and perform control testing to evaluate the effectiveness of business systems and processes.
2. Risk Identification and Compliance
- Perform due diligence on operational and financial activities, highlighting non-compliance or risk areas.
- Study internal audit reports and submit actionable recommendations to the Head – Internal Audit.
- Track corrective actions based on audit findings and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
- Stay up to date with aviation regulations, industry standards, and emerging risks affecting the business.
3. Reporting and Continuous Improvement
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports including findings, risk impact, and recommendations.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance audit methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Support the development of internal audit action plans and follow up on timely execution.
4. People Development and Engagement
- Support and lead capability-building initiatives within the audit function.
- Participate in HR and employee engagement activities, promoting a motivated and high-performing team environment.

Regulatory & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as liaison with regulatory authorities during inspections or audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Coordinate with external auditors to avoid duplication and align audit timelines and objectives.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks.

- External Auditors – Coordinate to align objectives and avoid audit overlaps
- Regulatory Authorities – Ensure adherence to changing regulations and manage compliance audits
Educational & Experience Requirements:
- Education:
- MBA (preferably in Finance) or Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) preferred
- Experience:
- Minimum 10–13 years of experience in internal auditing, audit planning, and leading audit teams
- Experience with Registrar of Companies and statutory compliance is desirable
- Experience in the aviation industry is preferred
