Para-Planner
Reports to: Relationship Manager / Senior Relationship Manager Career ladder position: Parallel specialist track (research & analysis), not client-facing by default Experience: 1–3 years (markets, research, or financial planning support exposure) Location: In-office, Jaipur
Role Purpose
The Para-Planner is the analytical engine behind every client conversation — preparing portfolio reviews, goal-gap analysis, and rebalancing recommendations before the RM sits with the client. This role exists to make every RM meeting sharper and let RMs handle a larger, more complex book without diluting advice quality. It's the piece that lets Moneycount scale RM capacity without scaling RM headcount at the same rate.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Meeting Preparation
- Build portfolio review decks ahead of scheduled client meetings: current allocation, performance vs. benchmark, goal progress
- Run goal-gap analysis (retirement corpus, child education, financial freedom targets) against current trajectory and flag shortfalls
- Prepare rebalancing recommendations based on house model portfolios and client risk profile — for RM review and sign-off, not direct client delivery
Research & Analysis
- Track fund performance, category trends, and any material changes (manager change, mandate shift, expense ratio changes) across the recommended fund list
- Maintain house-view fund shortlist in coordination with RM/leadership
- Support scenario modeling (SIP step-up impact, delayed retirement impact, lump-sum vs. SIP comparisons) using financial planning tools/Excel models
Data & Documentation
- Maintain structured client data using the firm's client data collection checklist (financial goals, life stage, risk profile, investment capacity) — keeping profiles current as client circumstances change
- Flag data gaps or outdated risk profiles to RMs proactively, before they become a review-meeting problem
RM Support
- Join client review meetings when needed to present analysis directly (growth chance toward RM track)
- Translate RM's post-meeting notes into updated client action plans and follow-up trackers
Candidate Profile
- Graduate in Finance/Commerce/Economics; MBA (Finance) or pursuing CFP/CFA is a strong plus
- NISM Series V-A certification — mandatory, or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- 1–3 years in markets research, financial planning support, wealth management back-office, or equity/MF research
- Strong Excel modeling skills; comfort with portfolio analysis tools
- Analytical mindset with genuine curiosity about markets and financial planning — this is a growth seat toward advisory, not a terminal admin role
- Not inherently client-facing, but should be comfortable presenting analysis clearly when looped into meetings
