Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced SAP IBP Consultant with strong expertise in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and S&OP; (Sales & Operations Planning).
The role involves designing, implementing, configuring, and optimizing SAP IBP solutions to improve demand-supply alignment, planning processes, analytics, and business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end implementation and configuration of SAP IBP S&OP; and planning solutions.
- Design planning models, planning areas, key figures, planning levels, attributes, and operators.
- Configure time profiles, master data structures, and planning areas based on business requirements.
- Work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Drive S&OP; process design and facilitate workshops with business teams.
- Support and optimize Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Planning processes.
- Define KPIs, dashboards, scenario simulations, and reporting solutions for business and executive stakeholders.
- Design and support integration between SAP IBP and ERP/SAP S/4HANA systems and other data sources.
- Work on integration technologies such as CPI-DS, SDI, RTI, or equivalent.
- Validate data flows, master data consistency, planning results, and data quality.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and planning logic discrepancies.
- Lead SIT and UAT activities, including test case preparation, validation, and defect resolution.
- Support cutover, go-live, and post-go-live/hypercare activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Provide end-user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide guidance to junior consultants.
- Stay updated with SAP IBP capabilities, best practices, and emerging planning technologies.
Must-Have Skills
- 6–8 years of experience in SAP IBP implementation/consulting or supply chain planning.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP IBP configuration.

- Strong functional knowledge of Demand Planning and Supply Planning.
- Good understanding of S&OP; processes and frameworks.
- Knowledge of Inventory Optimization and supply chain planning concepts.
- Proficiency in SAP HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for reporting and analytics.
- Strong experience with Excel Planning Views and advanced analytics.
- Knowledge of integration technologies such as CPI-DS, SDI,
RTI, or equivalent.
- Understanding of master data modeling and data governance.
- Experience with data analysis tools and advanced analytical techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Valuable-to-Have Skills
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC integration.
- Experience integrating SAP IBP with other SAP modules.
- Experience with global S&OP; implementations or multi-company planning environments.
- Industry experience in Manufacturing, Retail, Distribution, or similar sectors.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Background in supply chain, operations, or business analysis.
- SAP IBP certification or other relevant SAP certifications.
- Experience in mentoring junior consultants or leading teams.
- Knowledge of change management and organizational transformation.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, Science, or any relevant discipline.
- SAP IBP certification is preferred.
Candidate Profile
- Strong functional and technical understanding of SAP IBP.
- Hands-on experience in Demand & Supply Planning is essential.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Candidates with a stable employment history are preferred.
