Data Protection Officer (DPO) — Customer Facing
TrustFabric is India's consent management platform, built to help enterprises become fully compliant with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), 2023. As India moves toward full DPDPA enforcement in 2027, we're building the infrastructure — and the expertise — that Indian businesses need to get privacy right.
We're hiring a Data Protection Officer to serve as both TrustFabric's own DPO and a customer-facing privacy expert supporting our DPO-as-a-Service offering — advising clients directly on DPDP Act compliance, consent frameworks, and data governance.
What You'll Do
Act as TrustFabric's designated Data Protection Officer, overseeing internal data processing practices and compliance with the DPDP Act, 2023
Serve as the primary privacy advisor for TrustFabric customers subscribed to our DPO-as-a-Service offering, guiding them through DPDPA readiness, ROPA documentation, and consent governance
Lead client onboarding calls, compliance gap assessments, and remediation roadmaps




Review and advise on Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), sub-processor arrangements, and cross-border data transfer clauses
Monitor DSR (Data Subject Rights) workflows and ensure client and internal requests are fulfilled within statutory timelines
Own breach notification protocols — internally and for clients — ensuring 72-hour DPBI reporting requirements are met
Track regulatory developments (MeitY rules, DPB guidance, sector-specific regulations from RBI, IRDAI, SEBI) and translate them into practical guidance for customers
Represent TrustFabric in client-facing workshops, webinars, and security/privacy due-diligence reviews during sales cycles
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ensure the platform's compliance automation stays aligned with evolving DPDPA requirements
What We're Looking For
8-12 years of experience in data privacy, data protection compliance, or a related legal/GRC role, with direct DPDP Act, GDPR, or similar re
