Note: Based on the job location being specified as “Project Site,” this role requires the candidate to be physically present at the construction/infrastructure project site. Remote or hybrid work options are not applicable for this position.
Job Summary
We are looking for a Site Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting and financial activities at the project site. The candidate will be responsible for accurate transaction recording, bill booking, payment processing, reconciliations, fund reporting, costing and statutory compliance support.
The ideal candidate should have positive practical knowledge of site accounting, TDS, GST, bank transactions, vendor/customer accounts and inventory accounting.
Key Responsibilities
BILL BOOKING & ACCOUNTING
Accurate and timely booking of purchase, expense and other project-related bills.
Verify bills,
supporting documents, approvals and accounting entries.
Ensure proper allocation of expenses to the respective project/cost centre.
Maintain proper site accounting records and documentation.
BANK PAYMENT & RECEIPT PROCESSING
Process and record bank payments and receipts.
Verify payment requests, supporting documents and approvals before processing.
Maintain bank-related records and ensure timely accounting of transactions.
Prepare and monitor bank reconciliation statements.
CASH MANAGEMENT
Handle cash payments and receipts at the project site.
Maintain cash book and supporting vouchers.
Ensure proper documentation and authorization of cash transactions.
Monitor daily cash balance and cash requirements.
RECONCILIATION
Perform regular Bank Reconciliation and Ledger Reconciliation.
Reconcile Vendor, Customer and Inventory accounts.
