About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior OSP Fiber Design & Permitting Engineer with hands-on
experience in Underground Fiber Optic Network Design, Permitting, and As-Built/GIS Data
Creation.
The candidate should be capable of handling the complete OSP project lifecycle from KMZ route
review and engineering design through permitting and final as-built/GIS delivery.

Key Responsibilities
1. OSP Engineering & Design
•Review and validate client-provided KMZ/KML routes and GIS data.
•Design underground backbone fiber routes, conduit, duct and innerduct systems.
•Prepare trenching, HDD/directional boring and road/utility crossing designs.
•Design handholes, vaults, pull boxes and splice locations.
•Prepare construction-ready OSP plan sheets, route maps and details.
•Prepare BOQ/BOM and material quantity calculations.
•Perform engineering QA/QC.

2. Utility & ROW Research




•Perform existing utility and infrastructure research.
•Identify conflicts with electric, gas, water, sewer and telecom utilities.
•Review ROW, parcel and route information.
•Identify special construction and crossing requirements.

3. Permitting
•Handle DOT, County and Municipal permitting requirements.
•Research permit requirements and prepare permit packages.
•Prepare TCP (Traffic Control Plans), permit drawings, ROW/plat exhibits and supporting
documents.
•Coordinate permit submissions and agency comments.
•Manage permit revisions, resubmissions and approval tracking.
•Coordinate with permitting authorities and stakeholders.
4. As-Built & GIS
•Review contractor redlines, field data and construction information.
•Compare approved design with actual construction.
•Update CAD/GIS routes, handholes, vaults, splice points, bore/trench sections and asset
information.
•Prepare final As-Built drawings and GIS deli
