About the Role

We are looking for a Vendor Growth Executive to join our early-stage team and take ownership of vendor acquisition and onboarding.
This is a hands-on, field-oriented role where you will work directly with businesses across Chennai — identifying prospects, pitching Sheplates, following up, closing partnerships, onboarding vendors and building strong relationships.
As Sheplates grows, this role offers a clear growth path into a Vendor Growth Manager position, with the opportunity to eventually build and lead the Vendor Growth team.

What You'll Do

Identify and generate vendor leads through calls, WhatsApp, field visits and local networking.
Pitch Sheplates to prospective vendors and convert them into partners.
Follow up consistently,



negotiate and close vendor partnerships.
Own the complete vendor onboarding process.
Ensure newly onboarded vendors are activated and ready to receive orders.
Build and maintain solid relationships with existing vendors.
Monitor vendor activity and identify opportunities to improve engagement and order volumes.
Maintain the sales pipeline and achieve weekly and monthly acquisition targets.
Build a strong vendor network within assigned territories.
Share vendor feedback, market insights and acquisition challenges with the team.

What We're Looking For

1–2 years of experience in sales, business development, field sales, merchant/vendor acquisition or marketplace sales.
Strong communication, negotiation and closing skills.
Comfortable with calling, follow-ups and field visits.
Target-driven with strong ownership and execution skills.
Good relationship-building abilities.
Comfortable working independently in an early-stage star
