Responsibilities
Design Leadership
Own end-to-end design for all House of Armuse collections — concept, mood boards, silhouettes, embellishment direction, and final artworks
Define the seasonal design calendar and collection themes in line with brand positioning and market trends
Set and maintain the brand's design language — fabric choices, color stories, embellishment vocabulary, silhouette signatures
Lead, mentor, and review the output of the in-house design team before anything moves to sampling
Technical Execution
Create and approve production-ready tech packs for every garment — construction details, measurements, trims, embellishment placement
Work directly with production/merchandising to ensure design intent survives execution (fit, fabric, embellishment quality)
Troubleshoot production-floor design issues and approve deviations where necessary
Strategic & Cross-Functional
Present collections and design rationale directly to the Founder and Directors




Track competitor and market design trends in the Indian couture/ethnic wear space and translate them into actionable inputs
Partner with the marketing team to ensure campaign content accurately reflects design intent

Requirements
Minimum 10 years of design experience in Indian ethnic wear / couture
Must have worked at a top-tier fashion house in Mumbai or Delhi — employer name and tenure to be independently verified
From an Indian ethnic design background — solid working knowledge of Indian embroidery, embellishment techniques, drapes, and silhouettes
Proven experience producing production-ready tech packs (not just concept sketches)
Demonstrated experience leading a design team, not only executing individually
Prior experience specifically in bridal or occasion-wear categories
