Flatkick Designs is a growing footwear manufacturing company focused on developing and manufacturing quality footwear for leading brands. We are looking for a hands-on footwear skilled to strengthen our customer-driven product development and fabrication capabilities.
Role
The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete footwear development cycle — from understanding customer requirements and designs to sample development, customer approval and bulk production.
Key Responsibilities
* Directly interact with customers/footwear brands to understand product requirements, designs and specifications.
* Convert customer concepts, images and references into commercially viable footwear products.
* Develop footwear uppers through third-party fabrication units.
* Manage sampling, modifications, corrections and customer approvals.
* Select appropriate upper materials, lining, mesh, synthetic leather, fabrics, foam, webbing, adhesives,
trims and accessories.
* Coordinate with pattern makers and fabrication vendors.
* Manage the complete process from design brief → prototype → sample → approval → production.
* Ensure approved samples are correctly executed during bulk production.
* Identify and resolve material, construction, fabrication and quality issues.
* Explore new materials, construction techniques and footwear designs.
* Coordinate with internal production, sourcing and quality teams.
Mandatory Requirements
* FDDI pass-out.
* Minimum 3 years of footwear industry experience.
* Strong practical knowledge of footwear upper development and fabrication.
* Experience in sampling and production.
* Good knowledge of footwear raw materials and construction.
* Ability to interact confidently with customers/brands.
* Experience coordinating with third-party fabrication units.
