Role Description
Robust experience in preparing 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models for sheet metal components.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with SolidWorks / Creo / Inventor will be an advantage.
* Good knowledge of sheet metal design, fabrication, bending, cutting, punching, laser cutting, and welding processes.
* Ability to prepare GA drawings, detailed part drawings, assembly drawings, and fabrication drawings.
* Knowledge of bend allowance, bend deduction, K-factor, bend radius, and flat pattern development.
* Ability to prepare DXF files / flat patterns for laser cutting and CNC punching.
* Good understanding of GD&T;, tolerances, fits, surface finish, and engineering standards.
* Experience in preparing BOM (Bill of Materials) and material specifications.




* Ability to interpret customer drawings and convert concepts/designs into production-ready drawings.
* Coordination with design, production, fabrication, and quality teams for drawing-related issues.
* Ability to modify drawings based on design changes and production feedback.
* Good understanding of different sheet metal materials such as MS, SS, GI, Aluminium, etc.
* Knowledge of standard hardware such as fasteners, hinges, inserts, PEM nuts, rivets, etc.
* Good attention to detail and ability to maintain drawing accuracy and revision control.
* Should be able to work independently and complete drawings within the required timeline.

Requirement :
Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
2–5 years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman, preferably in sheet metal fabrication/manufacturing.
