About the Role

JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Bengaluru, is looking for a passionate, highly organized, and trend-conscious Faculty of Design to mentor the next generation of creative minds.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in generic design principles as well as specialized design domains, deliver structured lectures, and seamlessly integrate contemporary trends—including Generative AI in Design—into classroom pedagogy.
Key Responsibilities

* Teaching & Mentorship: Deliver well-structured studio and theoretical modules across generic design fundamentals, design thinking, aesthetic theory, and specialized design subjects.
* Academic Planning & Delivery: Plan, organize, and execute course modules, lesson plans, studio projects, and student assessments in an orderly and systematic manner.
* AI & Modern Tool Integration: Guide students in leveraging up-to-date technologies,



including Generative AI tools (Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Stable Diffusion, etc.), prompt engineering, and digital design workflows.
* Student Guidance & Portfolio Development: Actively engage with students, foster a positive studio environment, provide constructive feedback, and guide them in building industry-ready portfolios.
* Industry Trend Alignment: Keep curriculum delivery aligned with current global design trends, sustainable practices, and market dynamics.

Desired Candidate Profile
Education & Academic Qualifications (Preferred):
* Alumni Advantage: Alumni of NID (National Institute of Design) will be given strong preference.
* Higher Qualifications: Ph.D. or Master’s Degree (M.Des / MFA / MA in Design or related fields) from a recognized university.
