This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.ResponsibilitiesCreate recent Microsoft SQL Server instances and configure them, including AlwaysOn availability groups and failover clusteringFacilitate brainstorming meetings with clients to review, analyse, and assess business systems and needsIn charge of database backup and recovery methods, database access security and integrity, physical data storage design,



and data storage administrationConfigure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.Skills and Qualifications4+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience requiredExperience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting toolsExperience with backups, restores and recovery modelsKnowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL ServerExperience working with Windows server, including Active DirectoryExtensive knowledge in database design, implementation, and conversionKnowledge with SSAS, SSIS, and SSRSExcellent written and verbal communication
