Job Description
4PM News Network is looking for a creative and skilled Video Editor to join our Mumbai-based newsroom. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of news content, excellent editing skills, and the ability to create engaging videos for YouTube, social media, and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Edit news videos, interviews, reports, reels, Shorts, and social media content.
Create engaging and visually compelling edits while maintaining accuracy and journalistic context.
Add graphics, captions, transitions, sound effects, music, and other elements where required.
Create attention-grabbing thumbnails and video openings/hooks when needed.
Repurpose long-form news content into short-form videos for YouTube Shorts, Instagram, Facebook, and X.
Work closely with reporters, producers, and the editorial team to meet tight deadlines.
Ensure videos are properly formatted and optimized for different digital platforms.




Stay updated with current video-editing trends and social-media formats.
Requirements
3–6 years of experience in video editing, preferably in a news/digital media environment.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, or similar tools is a plus.
Good understanding of pacing, storytelling, sound, graphics, and visual composition.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently under newsroom deadlines.
Solid attention to detail.
Understanding of Hindi news and social-media content will be an advantage.
