Role Description Working as an NPD Engineer in Motor R&D;, Design and Testing, involved in the development, prototyping, testing and validation of electric motors.
* Involved in NPD activities for BLDC, PMSM, PMDC, Induction and Starter Motors.
* Supporting motor design, component selection, prototype assembly and design validation.
* Conducting motor performance testing including no-load speed/current, load speed/current, torque and efficiency measurements.
* Performing motor testing and validation as per product requirements and specifications.
* Involved in motor reverse engineering, benchmarking and technical analysis.
* Working with motor design and simulation tools such as ANSYS Maxwell, Motor-CAD and JMAG.
* Supporting winding, magnet, stator, rotor, armature and other motor component development activities.
* Analysing test results and preparing technical reports and validation data.
* Coordinating with cross-functional teams for prototype development, testing, troubleshooting and product improvement.




* Supporting continuous improvement and cost-effective motor design solutions.
The role involves conceptualizing and designing motors for current product development, preparing detailed engineering drawings and specifications, and supporting prototype builds. The engineer will plan and execute motor testing, analyze performance data, and recommend design improvements to meet efficiency, safety, and reliability targets. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with mechanical and electrical engineering teams, working with CAD tools for design iterations, coordinating with manufacturing for design feasibility, and documenting test procedures and results. The role also includes participating in design reviews, maintaining compliance with relevant standards, and contributing to continuous improvement of motor design and test methodologies.
