Role Description This is a full-time, in office Marine Fire Fighting Technician role based in Mumbai. The Marine Fire Fighting Technician will inspect, test, maintain, and repair marine fire detection and suppression systems on vessels and in related facilities. Daily tasks include conducting safety checks on fire extinguishers, hydrants, sprinkler systems, and fixed firefighting installations, documenting inspection results, and preparing service reports in line with regulatory and class requirements. The role involves troubleshooting equipment faults, performing preventive maintenance, supporting ship repair teams during dry-dock and port calls, and assisting in emergency preparedness drills.



The technician will collaborate with marine engineering and operations personnel, follow safety protocols and international maritime standards, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications
Strong understanding of marine environments and Marine Operations, with experience working on ships or maritime assets.
Knowledge of Maritime safety regulations, fire codes, and class requirements related to marine firefighting systems.
Technical skills in inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems (extinguishers, hoses, hydrants, alarms, sprinkler and fixed installations).
Ability to interpret technical manuals, safety standards, and service documentation; competent in report writing and record keeping.
Capacity to work on board ships and in port environments, including climbing, working in confined spaces, and adhering to strict safety procedures.
