About the role
QA function launched from scratch this year, and we now have a documented test strategy across Unit, Smoke, Regression, Integration/API, End-to-End, Exploratory, and CUI-Workstream Review tiers, a growing Playwright automation suite, and test case management in TestRail. This role scales that foundation. You'll work directly under the QA Lead to build out automation coverage, take ownership of day-to-day test execution, and free the function to expand into newer territory like LLM evaluation. This is still a small, hands-on team as you'll be the second QA hire, not one of many.
What you'll do
- Extend and maintain Playwright automation across the Smoke, Regression, and End-to-End tiers, integrated into CI.
- Author, organize, and maintain test cases in TestRail, aligned to our existing tier structure and coverage targets.
- Own day-to-day regression execution and triage, reducing the manual burden as automation coverage grows.




- Write and file bug reports that meet our standard — clear severity/priority classification, reproducible steps, no back-and-forth required.
- Support CUI-Workstream Review testing on defense- and aerospace-adjacent product areas, following our data handling policy exactly.
- Investigate and reduce flaky tests; keep the automated suite something engineers trust, not something they route around.
- Partner with engineering on release readiness — contribute to go/no-go calls under the QA Lead's direction.
- Execute and assist in building our API test suites (Postman)
- As the function matures, you’ll contribute to evaluating non-deterministic AI/LLM outputs (golden datasets, evaluator design) alongside conventional testing.
What we're looking for
- Real hands-on QA automation experience — you've built and maintained an automated suite, not just run one someone else wrote.
- Working knowledge of Playwrig
