Role Description We're looking for an AI-first Software Engineer Intern to contribute to the design, development, and testing of software solutions that support the lab's research initiatives. You'll work primarily in our JavaScript/TypeScript stack, while integrating LLMs and AI frameworks into real workflows — not as an afterthought, but as a core part of how you build. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing and reviewing code, integrating LLM APIs and AI tooling into product features, debugging and resolving issues,



writing basic technical documentation, and collaborating with mentors and team members on project tasks. You'll participate in remote stand-ups, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions while learning best practices in modern, AI-assisted software engineering. This is a remote internship role, offering versatile collaboration across distributed teams and exposure to research-driven product development.

What You'll Do
Build and ship features across the frontend and backend using our JavaScript/TypeScript stack
Integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) into product workflows — prompting, tool use, structured outputs, streaming
Work with AI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Vercel AI SDK, or similar) to prototype and productionize AI features
Use AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) as part of your daily workflow
Write clean, tested, maintainable code and participate in code revi
