Role Description The Solar Consultant contract role is a remote position responsible for guiding prospective and existing clients through the adoption of solar energy solutions. Day-to-day tasks include qualifying leads, conducting needs assessments, and recommending appropriate solar system configurations based on site conditions, energy usage, and budget. The consultant will prepare proposals, explain technical and financial aspects in clear language,



and support clients through the decision-making and onboarding process. Ongoing responsibilities include coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate information, maintaining robust customer relationships, and tracking leads and opportunities in CRM or similar tools. The role also involves staying informed about solar industry trends, regulations, and incentives to provide up-to-date advice to clients.
Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge of the solar industry and solar power systems, including basic understanding of system types (on-grid, off-grid, hybrid) and their applications.
Experience with lead generation and prospecting, including identifying potential customers, managing pipelines, and converting leads into opportunities.
Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and build trust with diverse clients.
