Description
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Regularly attend and participate in project conference calls for product developments to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed
- Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure, and form documentation
- Determine the needs of those who use our technical documentation
- Develop, write, and support end-user documentation that includes high-level technical content, reference material, and detailed, task-specific work instructions
- Write or revise supporting content for new and existing products
- Write end-user documentation for a multi-disciplined and multi-cultural audience, including process control operators, control systems maintenance and design engineers, configuration engineers, and others
- Work in DITA CMS to write recent documentation and maintain existing documentation.
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking documentation work to meet product release dates and client deliverables
- Maintain a library of application documentation,
cataloging it for internal and/or external use
- Follow the standard processes outlined by Emerson for writing style, format, and content
- Explore complex technical products and provide technically accurate and audience-focused documents for new and existing functionality in software and hardware
- Be responsible for driving the review and approval of technical content within the document management system
