About Bloomberg Engineering in Pune
Bloomberg’s Engineering office in Pune, established in 2014, is now a major global engineering center. As the office grows, we’re looking for Senior Software Engineers who want to build impactful systems and contribute to the evolution of Bloomberg’s Core Products and data platforms.

About the Core Products group
The Core Products group focuses on evolving the Bloomberg Terminal and supporting applications—such as Communities, News, Research, and asset-class workflows. We design and build user-first, integrated products that adapt to the evolving needs of global financial clients.

We also develop and maintain the data and analytics infrastructure that powers Terminal experiences and enterprise products. Our teams apply up-to-date technologies to improve the accuracy, timeliness, accessibility, and quality of data used across Bloomberg’s ecosystem.

What we do:




The Analytical Platform (Insights Platform) group is responsible for core data and analytics services providing a single point of entry for Bloomberg Terminal and Enterprise applications to retrieve any kind of financial data available in Bloomberg. This group manages an Analytical Engine which comprises multiple foundational services and serves several hundred billion requests a day running on thousands of machines. With ever increasing data volumes and growth of Bloomberg’s Enterprise products, this footprint has been growing at a rapid pace

Our team:
Our analytical engine is one of the core data platforms in Bloomberg, processing hundreds of billions of requests per day, servicing most Bloomberg applications. The Insights platform aims to provide Business Intelligence for this analytical engine which will empower Product & Engineering teams across the firm to make data-driven decisions.

The Pune based team has full ownership
