About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Financial Accounting Associate
In this role, you will:
- Provide support for financial accounting related matters for lines of business and control functions
- Review basic activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts, financial statements and regulatory reports
- Gather financial data for financial and regulatory reports
- Review data from the general ledger, unit reports and various financial systems to ensure accuracy
- Receive direction from managers and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of financial control functions in accordance with the company’s internal control policies
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ months of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant with robust exposure to Accounting standards (IFRS/IndAS)
- Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft suite and AI concepts/usage
Job Expectations:
- 1) Ensure timely review, reconciliation, and accounting of all Gratuity Trust bank account transactions, maintaining complete accuracy and adherence to established controls.
- 2) Support the end-to-end accounting and reporting processes for the Gratuity Trust, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- 3) Coordinate monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation activities, ensuring timely completion, appropriate documentation, and resolution of outstanding reconciling items.
- 4) Support periodic physical verification of fixed assets and reconciliation of results to accounting records and asset registers.
