Selected Intern's Day-to-day Responsibilities Include
Assist in creating and modifying 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D engineering drawings.
Support the preparation and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.
Assist with RFQ's, quotation collection, cost comparison, and vendor follow-ups.
Coordinate with vendors regarding material availability, quality, and delivery timelines.
Support material and component selection based on project and engineering requirements.
Assist in prototype development, testing, and design validation activities.
Work with design, procurement, manufacturing, and quality teams on ongoing product-development projects.
Learn and apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
Support basic design, procurement, and manufacturing improvements and issue resolution.
