Mandatory Qualifications:
- LPIC-2/3 or equivalent certification will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of Ubuntu OS architecture is a must.
- Subject Matter Expert(L3) in Ubuntu 18.04 or higher OS versions.
- Experienced in OS customization/application packaging with Ubuntu 18.04 or higher versions.
- Knowledge on Ubuntu OS deployment in a BigFix management environment.
- Expert in Ubuntu OS terminal commands.

Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain and support Linux Ubuntu operating system in a domain environment.
- Resolve major incidents and technical escalations within agreed SLAs and quality.
- Problem Management: Perform root cause analysis for problems and major incidents, provide workarounds to ensure business continuity and prepare RCA reports.
- Change Management: Prepare Implementation plan, rollback plan and test plan, risk and impact analysis for critical or complex changes.
- Install hardware and software, maintain appropriate service levels, performance tuning and firmware upgrades across multiple hardware platforms.
- Perform advance tasks such as performance monitoring, provide recommendations for improvement and implement or oversee implementation of the recommendations.
- Perform system software upgrades including planning / scheduling, testing, coordination, and maintaining integrity of operating system workplace.
- Harden operating system parameters in line with firm's Data security policy, standards or best practices.
- Respond to outages both during normal business hours and after-hours on a need basis (on-call support).
- Documentation, knowledge sharing and training of junior members & L1/L2 engineers.
- Coordinating and interfacing with outside vendors, end users, other department team members, and service providers to resolve issues & drive service improvements.
Qualifications
- B.E/B.Tech in IT/Computer Science or equivalent is required with a minimum of 2-5years of relevant experience.
