Pepper Andhra is an authentic South Indian (Andhra) restaurant in Vadodara, serving traditional Andhra tiffins, snacks, meals, and signature regional specialties. We are looking for an experienced South Indian Chef who is passionate about authentic flavors and consistent quality.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare authentic South Indian breakfast (tiffin) and snack items with consistency and quality.
- Specialize in dishes such as:
- Idli
- Button Idli
- Podi Idli
- Vada
- Medu Vada
- Dosa (Plain, Masala, Ghee, Podi, etc.)
- Uttapam
- Pesarattu
- Upma
- Pongal
- Poori Bhaji
- Punugulu
- Mirchi Bajji
- Mysore Bonda
- Garelu
- Other authentic Andhra snacks
- Prepare fresh chutneys, sambar, podi, and specialty Andhra accompaniments daily.
- Ensure authentic Andhra taste, presentation, and portion consistency.
- Maintain food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness as per FSSAI standards.
- Monitor ingredient quality and minimize food wastage.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team during peak service hours.
- Maintain stock of raw materials and communicate purchase requirements.
- Follow standardized recipes while maintaining speed and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a South Indian/Andhra restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of authentic Andhra tiffin and snack preparation.
- Experience handling high-volume breakfast and evening snack service.
- Knowledge of batter fermentation, chutney preparation, and sambar production.
- Ability to maintain consistency in taste and quality.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure during busy hours.
Preferred
- Experience in cloud kitchens or restaurant chains is an advantage.
