Role Value Proposition:
Under this role, the Tax consultant is responsible for the preparation of various tax reporting and tax compliance obligations for the EMEA region as well as supporting the wider EMEA Tax Team on need basis. This creates an opportunity for having experience in understanding the Tax accounting and processes of tax accounting in industry.

One of the key criteria is requiring a high degree of professionalism and sound judgement. There would be a close collaborative work being executed with US and EMEA Tax Teams.

This role sits within the MGCC Tax Team and supports the EMEA Tax Team. The over-arching tax strategy in MetLife is to ensure the right taxes are paid at the right time wherever MetLife operates around the world. This involves several facets, including:
1. A commitment to compliance;
2. Effective risk management; and





3. Constructive and transparent relationship with tax authorities.

This role will support delivering on that strategy, as demonstrated by the key responsibilities below.

Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities are:
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly and quarterly tax reporting for U.S. GAAP and Solvency II purposes, including tax provisioning, return to provision calculations, risks and controls documentation and Tax Provisioning Tools;
- Assist with the preparation of tax provision and related notes and audit support for annual local financial statement filings for certain key Irish entities;
- Assist with the preparation of the Irish and UK corporation tax compliance;
- Support the Regional Tax Manager with the local country tax requirements;
- Supporting EMEA Tax team with monthly/quarterly projection reviews
- Develop and maintain valuable working relationships with all relevant team
