Job Title: Service Manager - UPS & Batteries (Exide & Other Brands)

Job Purpose:
The Service Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the service operations for UPS systems and batteries (with focus on Exide and related products). The role ensures high-quality service delivery, effective team management, customer satisfaction, and compliance with safety and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Service Operations Management
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair services for UPS systems and batteries.
- Monitor and improve service processes to reduce downtime and enhance efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to OEM guidelines and warranty policies.

2. Customer Support & Relationship Management
- Act as the primary escalation point for key customers.
- Ensure timely resolution of service complaints and technical issues.
- Build robust customer relationships to improve client satisfaction and retention.

3. Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and mentor service engineers/technicians.




- Plan workforce allocation for preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Set performance targets and monitor KPIs of the service team.

4. Technical Expertise & Compliance
- Provide technical guidance on UPS systems and Exide batteries.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company SOPs.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in UPS and battery technologies.

5. Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare service performance reports, including MTTR, call closure rates, and customer feedback.
- Coordinate with Sales & Operations teams to support AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) and warranty renewals.
- Manage spare parts inventory, vendor coordination, and cost optimization.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in UPS / Battery service industry (at least 3 years in a managerial role).
