Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver English lessons to students in grades 7 & 8.
- Prepare, plan, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum and educational standards.
- Assess students’ progress through formative and summative assessments
- Create a positive and conducive learning environment.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students for academic improvement.
- Develop and maintain effective classroom management strategies.
- Organize and participate in school activities - academic and beyond academic, events, and meetings.
- Incorporate multimedia, technology, and modern teaching methods to make learning engaging.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students regarding their academic and personal development.
- Train students to participate in state, national and international competitions. Ex: English olympiad
- Maintain accurate records of students' performance, attendance, and behavior.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to ensure the success of students.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and methodologies in teaching English.
- Understand the systems of the school and adapt accordingly
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English (B.A. in English or equivalent).
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is required.
- In-depth knowledge of English literature, language, and grammar.
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools for teaching.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Passionate about teaching and helping students succeed.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CBSE/ICSE/IGCSE curriculum
- Knowledge of the latest developments in English education.
- Experience in extracurricular activities related to English (e.g., debate, drama, writing clubs).
