Job Summary
The Facilities Engineer at Jabil, Inc. is responsible for ensuring the optimal functionality, safety, and efficiency of the company's facilities. This role involves planning, designing, and overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of building systems, infrastructure, and equipment to support manufacturing operations and a productive work setting.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage facilities projects from conception to completion,
including budget development, vendor selection, and project scheduling.
- Oversee the preventive maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, and other critical building systems and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and resolve maintenance issues, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and optimize operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement energy conservation programs and sustainable facilities practices to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.
- Collaborate with production, EHS, and other departments to ensure facility infrastructure supports manufacturing requirements and employee well-being.
- Manage relationships with external contractors, service providers, and regulatory agencies, ensuring adherence to contracts and compliance standards.
