Job description:
Key Responsibilities
- Perform fabrication and fitting works on structural works and pipe, and marine structures.
- Cut, bend, shape, and assemble metal sheets, pipes, and steel plates as per drawings.
- Assist welders and ensure proper alignment, fit-up, and finishing of components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, and layout plans.
- Carry out fitting works for piping systems, supports, brackets, foundations, and structural parts.
- Ensure quality control, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with marine standards.
- Operate fabrication tools: grinders, gas cutting sets, hydraulic presses, drills, and measuring instruments.
- Conduct repair, modification, and rework as required during.
- Follow safety regulations, PPE usage, and permit-to-work systems onboard.
- Coordinate with welders, supervisors, and QA/QC teams to complete tasks efficiently.

Skills & Competencies
- Robust knowledge of fabrication techniques:
- Ability to read technical drawings and fabrication sketches:




- Experience in steel plate and pipe fabrication:
- Good knowledge of alignment, levels, tolerances, and measurement instruments
- Understanding of basic welding processes (MIG, ARC, TIG - assist level)
- Safety-conscious with awareness of marine yard practices
- Problem-solving skills and team coordination abilities

Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Fitter / Fabrication / Mechanical Trade (preferred)

Pay: ₹19,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
