Work Base

Role Summary

The Housekeeping Staff will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and presentation of guest rooms, cottages, tents, bathrooms, public areas and back-of-house areas at Madhuban Eco Retreat. The role requires attention to detail, discipline, honesty and a guest-friendly attitude. Since Madhuban is a nature-based eco-retreat, the staff member must also follow responsible housekeeping practices such as careful use of water, proper waste segregation, avoiding plastic litter and maintaining the natural character of the property.

Key ResponsibilitiesRoom Cleaning and Guest Area Maintenance
- Clean and prepare guest rooms, tents, villas and cottages as per resort standards.
- Change bed linen, towels and amenities as per check-in and check-out schedule.




- Clean bathrooms thoroughly, including WC, shower area, wash basin, mirrors and fittings.
- Dust furniture, clean floors, remove cobwebs and ensure rooms are fresh and guest-ready.
- Ensure room fragrance, ventilation and presentation before guest arrival.
- Report damaged items, maintenance issues or missing inventory immediately.

Public Area Cleaning
- Maintain cleanliness of reception, dining area, pathways, verandas, sit-outs and common areas.
- Ensure dustbins are clean and waste is removed regularly.
- Keep guest movement areas clean, secure and presentable.

Laundry and Linen Support
- Collect, count and send used linen for laundry.
- Receive, fold and store clean linen properly.
- Report stains, damage or shortage of linen to the supervisor.

Guest Support
- Respond politely to guest housekeeping requests.
- Provide extra towels, water, toiletries or other approved items when requested.
