Key Responsibilities
- Inspect fabricated components and assemblies as per engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Perform dimensional inspections using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and measuring tapes.
- Verify welding quality through visual inspection and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Monitor in-process and final inspections to ensure product quality.
- Identify non-conforming products and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with the production team.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, ISO standards, and internal quality procedures.
- Coordinate with production, design, and project teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Support customer inspections and third-party inspections whenever required.
- Ensure proper handling and calibration of inspection instruments.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding, and engineering drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and GD&T; concepts.
- Hands-on experience with inspection and measuring instruments.
- Good understanding of quality control procedures and documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems is preferred.
Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience
- 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Quality Inspector in a fabrication or engineering manufacturing company.
- Experience in heavy fabrication, steel structures, pressure vessels, or industrial equipment manufacturing.
