About the Role
The Platform Infrastructure Architect designs, standardizes, and improves the core infrastructure platforms that support enterprise applications, operational services, and critical business systems. This role provides technical leadership for virtualization and hypervisor platforms, public and private cloud infrastructure, compute, storage, data protection, data center design, automation, security, IT asset management, and change management.
The ideal candidate has solid infrastructure engineering experience and can think like an architect. You should follow disciplined operational practices, understand security risks, and turn business and technical needs into platform standards that are reliable, scalable, easy to support, and cost-effective.
Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
Design and maintain company standards for virtualization and hypervisor platforms — covering capacity, availability, system lifecycle, performance, resilience,



and governance — while continuing to evaluate new technologies, including approved AI tools, to improve platform quality and delivery speed.
Lead the design and improvement of automation and scripting using PowerShell, Ansible, and Python to reduce manual work, create consistent results, speed up delivery, and strengthen configuration control across enterprise infrastructure platforms.
Create scalable infrastructure designs for public cloud, private cloud, and hybrid environments using Azure, AWS, and Hyper-V; improve reliability, operational efficiency, security, and cost management across production, disaster recovery, and lab environments.
Provide technical leadership for compute, storage, and data protection systems; define standards for performance, availability, backup, recovery, replication, data retention, and disaster recovery readiness across production and DR environments.
