Proxima Human Capital has been mandated by a listed, technology-driven global advanced materials manufacturing company to identify an accomplished professional for the position of Head – Manufacturing .

The company has a significant international footprint, with customers across 90+ countries , and is currently undertaking major capacity expansion and technology-led transformation of its manufacturing operations.

The position offers an opportunity to lead multiple manufacturing facilities and drive the organisation's next phase of operational excellence, automation, productivity and profitable growth .

The base location is ~ 400 kms from Mumbai

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations from Order to Despatch , ensuring delivery against customer commitments.
- Lead and integrate multiple manufacturing facilities with common operating standards and performance benchmarks.
- Manufacture products within targeted cost while consistently achieving defined quality standards .
- Drive operational efficiency, productivity, yield, OEE, capacity utilisation and margin improvement .
- Lead high-impact Lean Six Sigma projects with measurable financial and operational benefits.
- Institutionalise Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and strengthen equipment reliability.
- Drive Industry 5.0, automation, robotics, digital manufacturing and smart-factory initiatives .
- Lead manufacturing scale-up and commercialisation of recent products from pilot stage to stable commercial production.
- Support commissioning,



ramp-up and stabilisation of new manufacturing capacities and greenfield/brownfield projects .
- Drive manufacturing cost optimisation covering materials, manpower, energy, utilities, maintenance, scrap and conversion costs.
- Ensure world-class EHS, process safety and statutory compliance .
- Maintain stable and constructive Industrial Relations .
- Lead annual operating plans, manufacturing budgets and CAPEX effectiveness .
- Build a strong succession pipeline and develop Plant Heads and manufacturing leaders .

Candidate Profile

- Graduate Engineer with 20+ years of manufacturing/operations experience .
- Experience should be predominantly in process manufacturing industries .
- Proven track record of leading multiple manufacturing plants is critical.
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt .
- Strong hands-on experience in Lean Manufacturing, TPM and Operational Excellence .
- Demonstrated experience in implementing automation, robotics and Industry 5.0 / smart manufacturing technologies .
- Proven record of delivering manufacturing cost reduction, productivity and margin improvement .
- Experience in new-product industrialisation, scale-up and commercialisation .
- Strong exposure to EHS, Industrial Relations, planning, budgeting and cost management .




- Demonstrated capability in developing manufacturing leadership talent and succession pipelines .
